Pilot version. Effective October 31, 2026.

Terms

These terms cover use of the Daylight pilot. If you use the site, you agree to them.

What Daylight is

Daylight provides a public job page, a must-have check, an application form, a private status link, and a founder pipeline. It is a tool. Daylight is operated by [operating company name: counsel to set]. Daylight is not the employer, not a law firm, and not an advisor on immigration, export control, security clearances, or employment law. Hiring decisions belong only to the company that posted the role.

Pilot, as is

The service is an early pilot, provided as is and as available. We may change, pause, or remove features at any time. We do not promise uptime, email delivery, a number of applicants, interviews, hires, search ranking, or that a page will be indexed. Job pages may stay out of search engines during the pilot.

Companies

Your company is solely responsible for its roles and its hiring. That includes the truth of the title, pay, location, description, interview steps, and every must-have (including work authorization or clearance questions you choose to ask). You confirm a role is an active search before you publish it. You name the real hiring company candidates should see. You follow employment, anti-discrimination, wage, privacy, export-control, and immigration rules that apply to you. Daylight does not review those choices for legal compliance and is not liable for them.

You will defend and hold Daylight harmless from claims by candidates or anyone else that arise from your job content, your screening questions, your outreach, or your hiring decisions, including claims that a requirement was unlawful or that someone was ghosted or treated unfairly. We may remove a role or a company that breaks these terms.

Candidates

You confirm your answers and resume are accurate. Must-haves are set by the posting company and are self-reported; Daylight does not verify them. Submitting an application does not create a job, an interview, or any relationship with Daylight. We do not guarantee that a company will read your application, reply, or move you forward. Stage labels and public counts describe activity in the tool. They are not a promise of a hiring outcome.

No warranties

To the fullest extent the law allows, Daylight disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that candidate answers, resumes, company posts, or funnel numbers are complete or correct.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Daylight and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost candidates, lost hiring opportunities, or reputational harm, whether or not we were advised of the possibility. Our total liability for any claim arising out of the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid Daylight for the service in the 12 months before the claim or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars. Some places do not allow certain limits; in those places the limit applies as far as the law allows. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud or for conduct a court says cannot be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, excluding conflict-of-law rules. Courts in Massachusetts are the exclusive venue for disputes, except where a law that cannot be waived says otherwise.

Changes

We may post updated terms on this page. The posted version applies from its effective date. This pilot version stays in place until we publish a later version.
